Chvac - Commercial HVAC Loads
CHVAC has for a long time been an industry leader in calculating commercial loads. Since 1979 when it first started it has been Elite software’s flagship program. Read more to find out why most people prefer CHVAC over its competition.
CHVAC calculates peak heating and cooling loads as well as determines building tonnage and room CFM requirements. It also has the capability of calculating CFM Air Quantities With Psychrometrics. It also allows for simultaneous infiltration and ventilation.
CHVAC precisely calculates the maximum cooling and heating loads for buildings. It uses the CLTD method or the newer RTS method to do these calculations. It automatically calculates all load and correction factors that will be needed. It also has the capability of calculating outdoor design weather data for over 2000 cities across the world. This data can be edited as well as added to if and when required. This way you can add data for cities that are not included in its database so that they can be used in calculating heat loads.
There are five versions of CHVAC available based on the zone capacity you require. These range from two, ten, fifty and hundred zone capacities with the fifth one allowing for unlimited zone capacity.
Some advanced features of CHVAC include its capability of calculating peak heating and cooling loads. This is very useful at times. It can also calculate heating and cooling CFM requirements. You can get it to provide an overall building envelope report.
Calculated results from the software can be exported into a spreadsheet file for ease of use. The software can analyze up to 12 months data at once, each having 24 hours a day.
As a whole, Chvac is very easy to use and includes a specific "dropdown" help window for virtually every input, including a list of choices where appropriate.
