HVAC Estimating
Western countries like the United States usually have four
seasons of climate: winter, spring, summer, and fall. For each of these
seasons, we get to experience varying degrees of temperature, ranging
from biting cold to literally burning heat.
Times like these, we survive through what we call the HVAC. Also, thanks to the advancement of technology, it is also now a lot easier to purchase your own personal home or office HVAC systems using an HVAC estimating software.
The Scoop On: HVAC
But first things first, here is the question: just what is HVAC? HVAC is basically the shorthand for a system for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. As it is, the HVAC performs the following functions:
* Heating- this functionality, of course, is put into use during colder weather conditions. Heating via an HVAC system can either be localized or centralized. If it is localized, then it means that heating takes place not just in one point, but in many other points in an establishment. For example, if it is a house that is installed with HVAC, it means that the HVAC system is not only in the bedroom, there is also another unit in the dining room, still another in the living room, and more in the other parts of the house. On the other hand, if the heating is centralized, then it means that the system is installed in just one place, and the heat distributed to all the other parts inside the establishment.
* Ventilating- when you are inside a closed room, chances are, you may choke due to the lack of fresh air from the outdoors. This is where the ventilating function of the HVAC system comes in. Here, the HVAC acts to combat possible indoor air pollutants, germ causing moisture, and certain trapped smells, then replaces them with air from the outdoors, air that's fresher and friendlier to your respiratory organs.
* Air Conditioning- heater is to cold weather as air conditioning is
to warm weather. The air conditioning unit of HVAC systems, also known
as refrigeration systems, make use of the elements of convection, conduction,
and radiation to filter the heat out of an enclosed space and replacing
it with more relaxing, cooler air through the use of ice, air, certain
chemicals, and yes, universal water, otherwise known as the refrigerant
element. Another refrigerant that is used in air conditioning systems
is freon, but it is right now being phased out in the market because
of its alleged effects on the ozone layer. Another ingredient that comes
in handy for HVAC systems is the evaporator, which acts as the heat
absorber.
